It is noteworthy our academic program of reinforcement and leveling implemented in our foster homes thanks to Mapfre Foundation. This has been a successful program, where we have achieved lower stay back averages, developed studying habits and also showed values.
The Nazareth foster home is for young women. It has a capacity for almost 40 girls between 6 and 18 years old, which have arrived because of different causes.
The young women at the Nazareth foster home maintain a daily routine. While the majority of them are full-time students a small number return from school at lunch time. Our staff at the Nazareth foster home consists on a team of 16 people who work in different areas to ensure the proper functioning of the foster home. Our Technical Team performs a psychosocial diagnosis which provides the information about which type of intervention each girl needs. This diagnosis involves an evaluation of her health, education, individual aspects and her family.
Our hardworkers and dedicated caregivers are responsible of making sure that the daily routine is taking place. Like in any house, they help the girls to wake up, have breakfast, go to school and study. Also they care for every requirement they could have and for most of all, give the love and support they need. Girls visit their original homes from Friday afternoon and return on Saturday or Sunday depending on the permission they have. In some cases they can just visit for the day. The permission depends on each familiar situation and the girl’s behavior.
